Returning to work after a break at any age can be a daunting prospect.
There can be many reasons why people have stopped working in the first place – for example, time out to raise a family, personal health reasons, caring responsibilities, re-locating to the Highlands, a career break after redundancy or to seek a better work life balance.
Equally there are many reasons why people have taken the decision to return to work – perhaps for financial reasons, personal wellbeing, or the sense of achievement that work can give you.
If you are keen to return to work but have barriers to overcome or are anxious about how you will get on, we can offer a person-centred service to help you progress towards and into work.
You will be supported by a key worker throughout your journey who will review your personal circumstances. Together with you they will draw up an action plan tailored to your particular needs to ensure you receive the right support at the right time for you.
Working with a variety of partners, we offer a range of support, training and work experience designed to take you from where you are now towards the goal of securing a job.
If you are interested in self-employment, support may be available for you to undertake the skills or qualifications needed to set up your own business. We can also put you in touch with Business Gateway who can provide additional support and guidance including information on start-up funding.
Everyone’s journey will be unique to them, but the first step is to get in touch and one of our team will get back to you to discuss next steps.
