Transport to Employment

Transport to Employment helps out-of-work and low-income working parents overcome transport barriers that make it harder to start work, stay in work, or increase their income.

Some examples of how we have supported our clients include:

  • Job Start Travel Fund – Help with travel costs during the first few weeks of a new job, including bus and train fares or fuel costs.
  • Driving qualifications such as HGV
  • Bike Purchase – Help to purchase a bicycle or e-bike, along with essential safety equipment, where this is the best option for getting to and from work, or to help you access public transport.

These are just some examples of the support available. If you have another idea that could help you overcome a transport barrier to work or increase your hours, we would be happy to discuss it with you.

Please note you do not always need to be a parent to receive support. If you live in Highland and transport issues are preventing you from finding work, staying in work, or increasing your hours, we may still be able to help.

If you think we can help, please get in touch.
